you can now download the stencyl pro full version! i finally got around to downloading stencyl pro and updating it for mac. i thought i would go over the process of updating it and getting it ready to go.
i have to say, this is pretty exciting. i have wanted to try this software for a very long time. it looks like it would be a great tool for creating a video game in stencyl. i am also interested in seeing how an application like this could be implemented in a classroom.
i also read that stencyl is a free version of game maker. i was very interested in this since i want to get my students to create a game using this program. i will keep this in mind for future classes.
i also have been thinking about teaching programming at a private christian school. i am planning on doing a game project with stencyl. i was interested in seeing what a student would get out of using this program. i could also use it as a platform to teach the principles of programming. this could be a great alternative to gamestar. i found it at stencylforge and it was under $5. i think this is a great price for the amount of features this program provides.
the next step is to update stencyl. this is really easy. i found the update instructions on the stencyl forum and it was really easy. i had to do the whole update process over again. this is because stencyl is out of date with the new version. this is not necessarily a bad thing. it just takes the fun out of it. 3d9ccd7d82
